Q: Will the film ever come off?
A: Unless you take the film off yourself, the film will not come off! It is made for outdoor applications (the film was originally designed to protect helicopter blades while spinning at hundreds of miles an hour), so it has been designed to stay on under the roughest circumstances. Unlike those cheap static cling protectors, the invisibleSHIELD is meant to last!

However, if you do need to take it off at some point, then Yes, you can take the film off at any time. It won't damage your screen, and it won't leave a sticky adhesive behind, either. When taking the film off, we recommend doing it slowly and carefully. Do not try to jerk the film off quickly.

Q: How thick is the film?
A: 8 mil (not to be confused with 8 millimeters). 8 mil = .008 inches

Q: Is the film impervious to scratches?
A: No. Unfortunately, the film will get scratched over time. However, it will take a LOT longer to scratch the film up than it would to damage an unprotected screen, or even a screen protected with any other screen protector. The invisibleSHIELD screen protector/film will take blows that an unprotected screen (or other screen protector) can not (see here for examples). Also, it has a self-healing property to it, which means that many of the bangs and bumps the film takes won't even show up a day later.
