This was my first case as well and I think it is a really good idea if you tend to drop things. It keeps your ipod well protected. The only thing i noticeed is that whatever the material is is somewhat sticky, meaning things like sand and lint like to stick to it. Overall its a great simple product. A lot of cases can to be to bulky but this fitst the ipod really easily. i also recommend the plastic cover for teh screen, added bonus.
