We accept the following forms of payment

Credit Card Fruad Check
Our payment processing company will automatically check orders for obvious
signs of fraud . Checks are made on AVS, CVV but may include transaction amount,
known bad IP addresses or ranges as well as rapid multiple orders amongst others.
We do not to rely 100% on our payment proceesor to pick up
on fraudulent orders and that is why we manually review each and every
order. The steps below are a guide to how we check for fraudulent
orders.
- Closely check all orders
- Check the IP address of the order. Use a site such as Hexillion to match
the IP address of the computer with the address of the customer.
- Check the address and telephone number of the customer. Use a service such
as White Pages or Infobel, to find out details about the buyer.
- Always double check orders where the customer uses a free email account
such as Hotmail, Yahoo, gmail etc.
- Always double check orders where the shipping address is a PO Box.
- Always triple check orders where the shipping address is different to the
billing address.
- If in doubt telephone / email the buyer to check their credentials.
- If we are still in doubt, we will cancel the order and will not ship.
Troubleshooting payment errors
1. If your card is new or recently reissued, make sure it has been activated.
2. Double check the card type (i.e. American Express), the account number and
expiration date.
3. Remove dashes or spaces from the account number.
4. If everything seems to be correct, call the card issuer's customer service
phone number. Your credit card company may need to speak with you before they
authorize your purchase.
Can I use a card issued outside the U.S. or Canada?
When an order is placed using a credit card as payment, the Gadget Locker will perform an automated check to confirm that the address information
matches what is on file with the card-issuing bank. It is less likely that an
automated response will be received from an international bank than from a U.S.
bank. If a response is received and indicates that some of the information does
not match, we must contact the bank for verification. If the card-issuing bank
is outside the U.S., the secondary verification is not possible, and we cannot
proceed with the order. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you use
only credit cards issued within the U.S. or Canada. For
a card issued outside the U.S. or Canada it is best to pay using PayPal.
Tax rate
In accordance with state and local law, your Gadget Locker purchases will
be taxed only if you are shipping to an address within New York State.
Will you verify my address?
To protect you from fraudulent purchases, we will confirm that your account
information matches what is on file with the bank that issued your card. Make
certain you entered your address correctly on your order. If you are not shipping
your purchase to your billing address, you may need to contact your the card
issuing bank to add an additional authorized shipping address.
How do I contact the card-issuing bank?
There should be an 800 number listed on the back of your card. Or, check the
monthly statement that is mailed to you for customer service contact information.
Where can I find my security code?
The Gadget Locker requires your credit card's security code for all
purchases. The security code is a three- or four-digit number printed on your
card in addition to the account number. Click
here for more info.
When will my credit card be charged?
At the time you place your order.
What is my daily spending limit?
Some banks set limits on how much money can be taken out of an account on a
single day or with a single transaction. Most debit and check cards have daily
spending limits that may substantially delay the processing of an order even
if there is enough money in an account. Please consult your card-issuing institution
for information about your daily spending limits. |
